Rugged smartphones are no longer a new selling point, but a new device S42 H plus from Cat, which is good at producing rugged phones, brings another unique feature : The mobile phone itself has built-in advanced antibacterial protection. From Wiil. From the expensive masks of i.am and Razer to the rise of Kinetic Touchless technology, we have seen more devices with hygiene elements in the technology industry.
Cat company, which launched the world's first smartphone with integrated thermal imaging camera and is known for its rugged mobile phones, also joined the ranks with Cat S42 H+.
Cat Company cooperated with Addmaster Company on S42 H+ to integrate the latter's proprietary Biomaster antibacterial silver ion technology into the phone body during the manufacturing process, making it the first fully antibacterial phone.
According to Cat, this phone has been tested in accordance with the ISO22196 standard, which evaluates the antibacterial activity of antibacterial treated plastics and other non-porous products. This technology can prevent bacterial cell replication by 80% within 15 minutes. Eliminate 99.9% within 24 hours.
The title of H+ (Hygiene Plus Innovation) distinguishes the phone from the standard S42, which is the same device except for the antibacterial coating. S42 H+ uses MediaTek Helio A20 processor, 5.5-inch HD+ display, can be used in gloves and wet conditions, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage space (MicroSD card expansion), 4200mAh battery, and equipped with Android 10. It will also receive an Android 11 system upgrade later this year.
In addition to the 13-megapixel rear lens/5-megapixel front lens, 3.5mm jack and Bluetooth 5.0, this phone is also IP68 and IP69 certified, which means you can immerse it in soapy water if needed . It also withstood 3000 bleach wipe tests, and withstood tests of pressurized alcohol, various hand sanitizers, and other chemicals. The S42 H+ will be launched in the United States this summer at a price of US$299.
