A new report released today by Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst who has been following the Apple industry chain for a long time, lists his views on 2022.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated that the iPhone 14 may use under-display fingerprints and low-cost large screen models.
Ming-Chi Kuo believes that the iPhone 2022 series (currently called the iPhone 14) may support under-display fingerprint technology. The wide-angle lens will be upgraded to 48MP and there are four models.
In 2022, the iPhone lineup will still be 4 models, but there will be no more thumbnails with 5.4-inch screens. Instead, there will be two high-end and low-end models with 6.1- and 6.7-inch screens: the flagship iPhone Pro series (6.1-inch and 6.7-inch). and two lower-end iPhones (6.1" and 6.7").
Guo believes that the growth momentum of the new iPhone in 22 years will come from the following aspects:
- Under-screen fingerprint access (using Apple's proprietary technology).
- A low-cost large iPhone (6.7-inch screen, which might be called "iPhone 14 Max"), estimated to be under $900 (in the range of CNY 6000).
- The high-end model will upgrade the wide-angle lens camera to 48MP.
Today's latest report did not provide details of the design changes to the iPhone 14 series. However, Ming-Chi Kuo has stated in the past that Apple will completely abandon the explosion design in 2022 and adopt a new "perforated screen" similar to the one used in some flagship Android phones.
iPhone SE: Will support 5G
Expectations of the next generation of iPhone SE. Guo believes that the two major updates will be 5G and the processor, and the new entry-level iPhone will appear in the first half of 2022.
Ming-Chi Kuo predicted as early as March that the new iPhone SE will be launched in 2022. Today I reiterated the same prediction that the first half of next year will arrive.
After the iPhone 12 series, the arrival of 5G will be a big event for the iPhone SE, as it may become the company's lowest priced 5G mobile phone, helping Apple continue to expand its market share of 5G mobile phones.
