Honor Joins the Telephoto Extender Trend
The high-end smartphone photography landscape is expanding as Honor prepares to launch its latest flagship, the Magic8 RSR Porsche Design. This move puts the brand in direct competition with recently released devices like the Oppo Find X9 Pro and the vivo X300 Pro, both of which have introduced external zoom enhancements.
In a recent announcement on Weibo, Honor confirmed that the Magic8 RSR Porsche Design will support an add-on telephoto extender lens. This accessory is designed to be a core component of the device's specialized camera kit, catering to photography enthusiasts who need extra reach.
Enhanced Zoom Capabilities
Official promotional materials reveal that the new extender will boost the smartphone's native zoom capabilities by 2.35x. To showcase the hardware's real-world performance, Honor shared several sample images demonstrating the clarity and detail achievable with the external lens attached.
Consumers won't have to wait long to see the device in full. The Honor Magic8 RSR Porsche Design is scheduled for an official debut on January 19 in China. It will be launched alongside the Magic8 Pro Air, rounding out a premium lineup of mobile imaging technology.
