Recent reports suggest that Huawei is preparing to launch a successor to its unique foldable smartphone. The upcoming Huawei Pura X2 is rumored to feature significant design improvements, particularly focusing on display size and hardware performance.
According to leaked details, the Pura X2 will boast a massive 7.5-inch inner foldable screen. While the original model introduced a specific flip-style form factor, this new iteration is expected to offer a wider and more immersive viewing experience. The external design is also getting a makeover; the cover display will reportedly be larger, occupying one half of the device, while the quad-camera setup shifts to the other side.
Internally, the Pura X2 is expected to be a powerhouse. It will likely feature the new Kirin 9020 and 9030 chipsets, including a Pro variant. Users may see configurations offering up to 20GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The device is slated to run on HarmonyOS 6.1, which will include integrated AI capabilities to enhance user interaction.
Additional features include a redesigned hinge for better durability and a variety of color options such as blue, black, green, orange, purple, and white. With the previous generation having debuted in March, industry experts anticipate a similar primary launch window for the Pura X2 this year.
