Apple has officially released the iPhone 17e and the refreshed iPad Air lineup with M4 chips. Both devices are now available for purchase through Apple's retail channels and authorized resellers worldwide. The launch also includes the updated M5 MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, alongside the new Studio Display and Studio Display XDR monitors.
iPhone 17e: Storage Changes and Pricing

iPhone 17e
The iPhone 17e brings a notable change to Apple's entry-level smartphone strategy. The company discontinued the 128GB base storage option, making 256GB the new starting configuration. Despite this upgrade, Apple maintained the same starting price as the previous iPhone 16e in most regions. The 512GB variant of the 17e is actually cheaper than the iPhone 16e across every market.
India stands out as an exception where pricing differs from other regions. The iPhone 17e starts at INR 64,900 for the 256GB model in India, while the 512GB version costs INR 84,900. In the United States, the 256GB model retails for $599, with the 512GB variant priced at $799. European markets see the device at €699 and €899 respectively.

Apple iPad Air 11 (2026) • Apple iPad Air 13 (2026)
Unlike the iPhone 17e, the new iPad Air models retain 128GB as the base storage option. Both the 11-inch and 13-inch variants offer configurations up to 1TB. All models come equipped with 12GB of RAM regardless of storage capacity.
The M4 chip powers both tablets, bringing improved performance and efficiency. Apple has also integrated its N1 and C1x wireless chips into the new iPad Air models for enhanced connectivity features.
Pricing and Availability
The 11-inch iPad Air starts at $600 in the United States, with the 13-inch model beginning at $800. Storage upgrades follow Apple's typical pricing structure, with each tier adding $100 to $200 to the base cost. The 1TB configurations reach $1,100 for the 11-inch model and $1,300 for the 13-inch version.
Both devices are available immediately through Apple's online store, physical retail locations, and authorized third-party retailers. The iPhone 17e runs iOS, while the iPad Air ships with iPadOS, maintaining Apple's platform separation between phones and tablets.
