Apple is preparing several product launches ahead of its March 4 event, but details about its 2026 flagship lineup are already surfacing. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has shared new insights about the iPhone 17 Pro Max successor and the company's first foldable phone.
In his latest newsletter, Gurman reports that Apple is actively testing a bold red color for the iPhone 18 Pro series. This deep red finish would mark a significant departure from the company's recent Pro color palette, which has favored more muted tones like natural titanium and desert titanium.

The red shade is reportedly positioned as the flagship color for the iPhone 18 Pro models. Apple may keep the popular Cosmic Orange option from the current generation while adding this new red variant to the lineup. This strategy would give Pro users more expressive choices without sacrificing the premium aesthetic the series is known for.
Meanwhile, the iPhone Fold appears to be taking a different approach. According to Gurman, Apple is avoiding playful colorways for its first foldable device. The foldable iPhone is expected to launch in dark gray or black and white or silver finishes only.
This conservative color strategy for the iPhone Fold suggests Apple is positioning the device as a serious business tool rather than a fashion statement. Both the iPhone 18 Pro series and the foldable model are expected to debut in September 2026.
The iPhone 17e and new MacBooks are set to appear at Apple's March 4 event, giving consumers plenty to look forward to before the flagship launches later this year.
