Recent reports from industry analysts have shed light on the roadmap for Apple's upcoming hardware, specifically focusing on the long-rumored foldable iPhone and the next-generation iPhone 18 Pro series. The leaked specifications provide a detailed look at what users might expect from these upcoming flagship devices.

The First Foldable iPhone

Apple’s entry into the foldable market is expected to feature a substantial 7.8-inch internal display complemented by a 5.3-inch external cover screen. This design aims to offer a tablet-like experience while remaining portable.

Technical specifications for the foldable device include:

  • A20 Pro chipset and a dedicated N2 chip
  • 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM
  • Touch ID for biometric security
  • C2 modem for enhanced connectivity

For photography, the foldable model is rumored to house a dual 48MP rear camera system. Selfies will reportedly be handled by 18MP cameras located on both the internal and cover displays.

iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max Advancements

The standard Pro lineup is also set for significant internal upgrades. Both the iPhone 18 Pro and the larger 18 Pro Max are expected to adopt the A20 Pro processor and 12GB of RAM. A major highlight of these models is the camera array, which may feature a 48MP primary sensor with variable aperture, a 48MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 48MP ultrawide lens.

Display sizes for the Pro series are anticipated to be 6.3 inches for the Pro model and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max. Additionally, these devices are rumored to integrate Face ID technology beneath the display, allowing for a more seamless screen experience without traditional cutouts.
