New reports have emerged regarding the design of Apple’s first foldable device, the iPhone Fold. Expected to debut this September, the device reveals a strategic shift in button layout and internal hardware organization. Unlike traditional models, the volume buttons are rumored to be located on the top-right edge, mirroring the layout found on the iPad mini. This choice stems from the motherboard positioning on the right side, allowing engineers to simplify internal wiring.

The right edge is also expected to feature a power button with integrated Touch ID sensors and a new Camera Control button. To maintain a sleek aesthetic, the left side of the frame remains entirely clear of any physical inputs. For visuals, the leaked design points to a single punch-hole camera on the front display for video calls and selfies.

The rear of the foldable will likely include a dual-camera system set against a black camera plateau, contrasting with the main body color. Early reports suggest at least two color options will be available, including white. To ensure longevity and performance, the interior utilizes a stacked design, freeing up space for a significantly large battery capacity.
