Motorola is preparing for the release of its next budget-friendly smartphone series, the Moto G17 and Moto G17 Power. Following the launch of the Moto G15 late last year, these new devices are expected to arrive on the market soon.
Evidence for the upcoming handsets appeared on Motorola's official US support site. A leaked FAQ regarding SIM card installation confirms the names of both the Moto G17 and the Moto G17 Power. The documentation also specifies that the devices will support storage expansion via microSD cards with a capacity of up to 1TB.
Additional details from Italian retail listings suggest the Moto G17 will be available in two distinct color options: Alaskan Blue and Evening Blue. In terms of hardware specifications, at least one configuration of the smartphone is expected to feature 8GB of RAM paired with 256GB of internal storage.
While official release dates have not been announced, the appearance of support pages and retailer listings indicates a formal launch could occur within the next few weeks. The Moto G17 series aims to build on the foundation of the previous generation, offering accessible technology in the entry-level segment.
