Motorola has expanded its budget-friendly lineup with the official announcement of the Moto G17 and Moto G17 Power. These two smartphones share a core design but cater to different user needs regarding battery life, storage capacity, and physical dimensions.
Under the hood, both devices are powered by the Helio G81 Extreme SoC. They feature a large 6.72-inch FullHD+ LCD screen with 1,050 nits peak brightness and a 60Hz refresh rate, protected by Gorilla Glass 3. For photography enthusiasts, both models are equipped with a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 primary sensor and a 5MP ultrawide lens, while the front houses a 32MP selfie camera.
Moto G17 Power: Maximum Battery
The Moto G17 Power is designed for longevity, featuring a massive 6,000 mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. It comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB. Due to the larger battery, it has a thickness of 8.8mm. It is available in Pantone Alaskan Blue and Evening Blue.
Moto G17: Sleek and Efficient
The standard Moto G17 offers a slimmer profile at 8.17mm. It is powered by a 5,200 mAh battery supporting 18W charging. Users can choose between 4GB or 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage. In addition to the blue shades, this model is also available in Pantone Bordeaux.
Both phones include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. They run on Android 15, with security updates guaranteed through early 2028.
