Motorola is moving forward with the development of its next generation of foldable smartphones. Following the release of the Razr 60 last year, the company is now preparing to introduce the Razr 70 and its premium counterpart, the Razr 70 Ultra.
The standard Razr 70, identified by model number XT2657-8, has recently been certified for sale in the UAE by the TDRA. This follows a similar certification for the Razr 70 Ultra, which carries the model number XT2655-1. These regulatory filings are often the final step before a device is officially released to the public.
While specific hardware specifications and features have not yet been leaked, industry patterns suggest a launch window around April, mirroring the release cycle of the previous generation. In terms of regional branding, it is expected that the Razr 70 will be marketed in North America as the Razr 2026, while the higher-end model will likely be known as the Razr Ultra 2026.
As these devices clear regulatory hurdles, more information regarding processor performance, camera capabilities, and display technology is expected to emerge in the coming weeks.
