Nothing is preparing to expand its smartphone lineup with the launch of its Phone (4a) series on March 5. The company has been building anticipation through a steady stream of teasers, and now we have our first real look at the upcoming device. These fresh images give us a clear view of the design changes Nothing Phone (4a) brings to the table.
Refined Transparent Design
The Phone (4a) keeps the semi-transparent aesthetic that has become Nothing's visual trademark. The lower back portion appears more exposed than before, featuring a dual-tone finish that creates visual depth. Nothing plans to offer the device in at least four color choices: white, black, blue, and pink. This expanded palette gives buyers more options beyond the typical monochrome offerings.
The New Glyph Bar
One of the most significant updates is the replacement of the Glyph Interface with a streamlined Glyph Bar. This new lighting system sits next to the camera island and contains six square LED blocks. Each square houses nine individually controllable mini-LEDs, bringing the total to 54 separate lighting zones. Nothing has confirmed these LEDs will be brighter than those on previous models, making notifications and visual effects more visible.
The physical button layout has also shifted. Nothing moved the Essential key to the left side of the phone, creating clearer separation from the power and volume buttons on the right. This change should reduce accidental presses and make the phone easier to operate one-handed.
Internal Specifications
Earlier leaks point to a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone will run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Power comes from a 5,400mAh battery that supports 50W wired charging.
The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide shooter. This triple-camera array covers most shooting scenarios users will encounter.
