Oppo has officially confirmed the name of its next foldable. The Oppo Find N6 will soon replace the Oppo Find N5 in the company's lineup. According to a reliable tipster, the new foldable will break cover on March 17.
Oppo Find N6 Launch Timeline
The company previously stated that the Find N6 would launch after Chinese New Year. Most analysts expected a late February or early March debut. The new March 17 date puts the launch slightly later than anticipated.
The device will launch in China first. Select international markets will also get the phone, including South Asia and parts of Europe. However, the tipster confirms India will not receive the Find N6. This follows the same pattern as the Find N5, which also skipped the Indian market.
Industry's Shallowest Display Crease
Zhou Yibao, head of Oppo's Find series, recently showcased the Find N6 at an internal product event. A video shared on Weibo reveals a major claim: the Find N6 will feature the shallowest display crease in the industry.
Foldable phones have long struggled with visible creases where the screen bends. Manufacturers continue working to minimize this issue. If Oppo's claim holds up, the Find N6 could represent a significant step forward for foldable display technology.
Expected Specifications
The Find N6 is shaping up to be a flagship device. Leaks suggest a 200MP primary rear camera, joined by a 50MP periscope telephoto lens and a 50MP ultrawide sensor. The phone should also support an AI-powered stylus for productivity tasks.
Under the hood, expect the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. This would make it one of the first foldables with this chipset. A 6,000mAh battery should provide all-day power, with 80W fast charging to quickly top up when needed.
Design-wise, the phone will reportedly be thinner and lighter than traditional non-folding ultra flagships. Color options include Titanium and Orange variants. The overall package aims to compete directly with Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold series.
