Poco X8 Pro Max Secures Another Regulatory Approval
Xiaomi's sub-brand continues expanding its presence in Southeast Asia. The Poco X8 Pro Max has now secured TKDN certification in Indonesia, following the Poco X8 Pro's approval in Thailand last month. This marks another step toward a broader regional launch for the company's latest mid-range lineup.
The Indonesian certification reveals model number 2602BPC18G, which aligns with earlier IMEI database listings that tied this identifier to the X8 Pro Max name. Previous approvals from IMDA in Singapore and the EEC in Europe suggest global availability is approaching quickly.

Battery and Charging Specs
While the certification documents remain silent on technical specifications, earlier leaks provide some insight. Code discovered within Xiaomi's HyperOS 3 points to an 8,500 mAh battery for the X8 Pro Max. That's substantially larger than the 6,500 mAh cell expected in the standard Poco X8 Pro.
Both models should support 100W wired charging. This combination of massive battery capacity and fast charging addresses a common pain point for heavy users who need their phones to last through demanding days.
Display and Performance Expectations
The Poco X8 Pro Max appears to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 5 Max, though with a slightly smaller battery than its Chinese counterpart. The Redmi Turbo 5 Max launched with a 9,000mAh battery, so Poco has trimmed about 500mAh for the international variant.
Display specifications suggest a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with 1280x2772 resolution. The screen should deliver 120Hz refresh rates, 3,840Hz PWM dimming for reduced eye strain, and peak brightness reaching 3,500 nits. These numbers place it firmly in the upper mid-range category.
Processor and Memory
Under the hood, the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s should handle processing duties. This chipset positions the X8 Pro Max as a performance-focused option within its price bracket. Memory configurations will likely mirror the Redmi Turbo 5 series, offering 12GB or 16GB of RAM paired with 256GB or 512GB of storage.
Camera Setup
Cameras should match the Poco X8 Pro's configuration. Expect a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 20MP front-facing camera for selfies. This hardware covers the basics for most users without competing with flagship camera systems.
Pricing and exact availability dates remain unconfirmed. However, with multiple certifications now complete, an official announcement could arrive within weeks. The Poco X8 Pro will likely launch alongside its larger sibling, giving buyers choice between two battery sizes.
