Realme has officially launched its newest addition to the Neo series in China: the Realme Neo8. This device is designed for high-end performance, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and a substantial 8,000mAh battery. The phone is crafted with a metal frame and a transparent glass back, achieving a premium look and an IP69 rating for superior dust and water resistance.

The visual experience is driven by a 6.78-inch Samsung M14 AMOLED panel. It supports a Full-HD+ resolution and a high refresh rate of 165Hz. Notably, the display can reach a peak brightness of 6,500 nits, ensuring clarity even under direct sunlight.

Advanced Camera and Cooling Systems

The rear design includes an 'Awakening Halo' RGB light strip for notifications, embedded within a transparent panel. For photography, the device utilizes a triple camera array: a 50MP Sony IMX896 main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide lens. A 16MP front-facing camera handles selfies.

To manage the heat from the flagship processor, Realme has integrated a large vapor chamber cooling system. The hardware is supported by LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Charging is handled via 80W SuperVOOC technology, which also supports bypass charging for gamers.

Software and Connectivity

Operating on Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16, the Neo8 is packed with AI-driven features. The company has committed to three years of major OS updates and four years of security patches. Connectivity options are comprehensive, including Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner.
