New Details Emerge for Redmi K100 and K100 Pro Max
Following the release of the K90 series in late 2025, reports indicate that Xiaomi's sub-brand is already developing its next flagship lineup. The upcoming Redmi K100 series is expected to feature two primary models: the Redmi K100 and the high-end Redmi K100 Pro Max. Both devices are slated to integrate Qualcomm's most advanced mobile platforms.
Leaked internal data identifies the Redmi K100 by the codename "athens" and model number Q11. The more powerful Redmi K100 Pro Max is reportedly codenamed "songyuan" with the model number Q11X. Industry observers note that the use of the 'X' suffix aligns with the brand’s recent transition to the 'Max' branding for its premium editions.
Hardware specifications suggest the standard Redmi K100 will likely utilize the current Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. In contrast, the Pro Max variant is rumored to debut with the unannounced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, positioning it at the forefront of mobile processing power.
Regarding market availability, these handsets are expected to launch first in China. However, international consumers may see these devices rebranded under the Poco label. Current projections suggest the Redmi K100 could arrive globally as the Poco F9 Pro, while the Redmi K100 Pro Max may be introduced as the Poco F9 Ultra.
While an official release date has not been confirmed, expectations point toward a late 2026 launch in China. This follows the established cycle where new flagship models are unveiled annually during the fourth quarter before expanding to international markets shortly after.
