Redmi has officially expanded its performance series with the launch of the Redmi Turbo 5. This new model stands out as the first smartphone globally to integrate the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset, positioning it as a powerful contender in the mid-range market.

To ensure peak performance, the device is equipped with LPDDR5 Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Keeping temperatures in check is a sophisticated vapor chamber cooling system shared with its high-end counterparts. The 6.59-inch AMOLED display offers a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an impressive peak brightness of 3,500 nits. This 12-bit panel also supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision for superior color accuracy.

Powering the device is a substantial 7,560mAh battery that supports 100W fast charging. Additionally, the Turbo 5 features 27W reverse wired charging. For photography enthusiasts, it carries a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor paired with an 8MP ultrawide camera, while the front features a 20MP selfie lens.

The phone is built with a durable metal frame and a glass back, running on the latest Xiaomi HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. Additional features include 5G connectivity, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and NFC. Available in three colors—Cloud White, Sea Green, and Shadow Black—the retail price starts at approximately $290 (CNY 1,999) for the 12GB/256GB base variant.
