Samsung has officially introduced an upgraded Samsung Care+ protection plan across 17 European markets. This expansion aims to provide users with more comprehensive security for their mobile devices through unlimited accidental damage coverage, protecting against drops, knocks, and liquid spills with a simplified excess fee structure.
The updated service removes previous restrictions, such as the 60-day limit for international coverage, allowing for seamless care both at home and abroad. To increase accessibility, Samsung has added 175 new walk-in repair locations, while maintaining the convenient option for mail-in device repairs.
Key technical benefits include free battery replacements for devices with capacity dropping below 80% after the standard warranty expires. Furthermore, the plan covers repairs for mechanical and electrical failures for the entire duration of the policy term once the manufacturer warranty ends.
Flexibility is a core part of the new offering, with a monthly payment option available for up to 60 months, allowing users to cancel at any time. For those seeking maximum security, a theft and loss coverage option is now available. This feature ensures a replacement device is dispatched within 48 hours of claim approval, provided Samsung Knox Guard is activated within 30 days of the policy start date. A maximum of two theft or loss claims are permitted per year.
