Samsung has officially expanded its budget-friendly smartphone lineup with the introduction of the Galaxy A07 5G. The device has made its debut in the Philippines and has also been spotted on the company's official website in Myanmar, signaling a wider rollout in the region.

Hardware and Visuals

The Galaxy A07 5G is powered by a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6300 octa-core processor. In its initial launch market, the phone is paired with 4GB of RAM and internal storage configurations of up to 128GB. Users can also expand the storage further via a dedicated microSD card slot.

The front of the device is dominated by a 6.7-inch LCD screen. This panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth navigation and features an HD+ resolution with a peak brightness of 800 nits, ensuring visibility even in bright environments.

Camera and Battery Life

For photography, Samsung has opted for a dual rear camera setup featuring a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth camera. Selfies are handled by an 8MP front-facing lens housed within a classic waterdrop notch. A major selling point for this model is its substantial 6,000mAh battery, offering a significant upgrade in terms of endurance compared to its predecessor.

Software and Long-Term Support

Running on One UI 8.0, the Galaxy A07 5G stands out in its price bracket by offering six years of Android OS updates and security patches. Beyond software, the phone includes practical features like an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The handset is available in Black and Light Violet color options. In the Philippines, the base 4GB/64GB model is priced at approximately $140 (PHP 8,290), while the 4GB/128GB variant is available for roughly $170 (PHP 9,990).
