Samsung is preparing to unveil its next generation of flagship smartphones, with the Galaxy S26 Ultra and Galaxy S26 recently appearing on the Geekbench database. These early listings provide a detailed look at the core specifications ahead of the anticipated launch event on February 25 in San Francisco.

The benchmark reports identify the Galaxy S26 Ultra under the model number SM-S948, while the Galaxy S26 appears as SM-S942. Both devices are set to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which includes the Adreno 840 GPU. However, technical data suggests that Samsung is implementing different clock speeds for each model.

Surprisingly, the Galaxy S26 Ultra listed in the benchmarks utilizes a slightly underclocked CPU configuration, with its performance cores reaching 4.19GHz. On the other hand, the base Galaxy S26 appears to be running an overclocked version of the same chip, with its dual high-performance cores boosted to 4.74GHz. This variation may indicate specific optimizations for thermal management or battery longevity across the different sizes.

In addition to the processor details, the listings confirm that both models will come equipped with 12GB of RAM and operate on Android 16. With the series expected to debut in late February, industry reports suggest the phones will officially go on sale in March.
