Samsung has officially introduced its latest innovation to the United States market with the release of the Galaxy Z TriFold. The cutting-edge device debuted with a retail price of $2,899, which is $900 more than the existing Galaxy Z Fold7. Despite the premium pricing, the handset saw immediate demand from consumers.

Available stock on Samsung’s official web store and at Experience Stores was depleted in approximately 20 minutes. While the speed of the sell-out is noteworthy, the company has not disclosed the specific number of units available for this initial launch. This follows a pattern seen during earlier flash sales in South Korea, where availability was also described as extremely limited.

The Galaxy Z TriFold was released exclusively in the Crafted Black finish with a 512 GB storage capacity. According to the manufacturer, the device serves more as a tech showcase for foldable enthusiasts than a mass-market product. Industry reports suggest that Samsung is essentially selling the hardware at a loss, prioritizing technological leadership and innovation over immediate profit margins.
