New photos have surfaced of the Samsung Qi2 magnetic wireless charger, offering a clearer look at the accessory ahead of its expected debut alongside the next Galaxy S-series launch. The images show a simple puck-style pad that magnetically aligns with compatible phones and cases. This charger has been linked to a 25W peak wireless charging rating in earlier leaks.
Design: puck charger with a braided USB-C cable
In the latest shots, the Samsung Magnet Wireless Charger appears as a compact, round puck with a flat charging surface and a wired connection. The cable looks braided and terminates in USB-C, which suggests it’s meant to be used with a separate power adapter rather than a built-in wall plug. So far, the accessory has only been shown in black.

Qi2.2 compatibility and cross-device support
According to the earlier information attached to this accessory, the charger should support the Qi2.2 standard. That would make it usable with older Galaxy S25 series devices, including models like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, as well as other Qi2-ready Android phones. It’s also described as compatible with MagSafe-capable iPhones, meaning it should work with devices from Apple that support magnetic alignment accessories.

What the magnets actually mean for charging
Qi2 introduces magnetic alignment through the Magnetic Power Profile (MPP), which helps ensure the coil in the phone lines up with the coil in the charger. That alignment matters for stability and efficiency, especially if the charger targets higher wireless power levels. Samsung’s broader Qi2 accessory push has also shown up in other leaks, including a Samsung Qi2 magnetic power bank said to be aimed at the same generation of devices.
Power requirements and the S26 Ultra magnet situation
One interesting detail mentioned alongside this charger is that Samsung may omit built-in magnets on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. If that happens, magnetic alignment would rely on Qi2-ready cases that include MPP magnets, rather than the phone body itself. To reach the claimed 25W peak charging speed, you’ll reportedly need an official Samsung 45W power adapter or another 45W adapter that supports PPS at 20V.
