Sony will unveil its next flagship wireless earbuds on February 12. Ahead of the official announcement, a fresh leak has revealed the complete spec sheet for the WF-1000XM6, showing meaningful upgrades over the previous generation.
Major Performance Upgrades
The WF-1000XM6 will ship with Sony's new QN3e processor. This chip is reportedly three times faster than the one inside the WF-1000XM5. The faster silicon should improve noise cancellation processing and overall responsiveness.
Audio quality gets a boost too. Sony added new drivers and kept support for high-quality codecs including LDAC. The buds also feature DSEE Extreme for upscaling compressed audio files, plus a 10-band equalizer for custom sound tuning.
Enhanced Microphones and Call Quality
Sony bumped the microphone count from six to eight across both earbuds. You get four mics per side, up from three in the previous model. This should improve voice pickup and active noise cancellation performance.
The ambient mode is also getting smarter. Sony added three automatic profiles that adjust based on your surroundings, so you don't have to manually switch settings.

Battery and Connectivity Features
Battery life clocks in at eight hours per charge. The case holds two additional full charges, giving you 24 hours of total listening time. That's solid for true wireless earbuds in this class.
Connectivity covers all the modern standards. You get Auracast support for public audio broadcasts, Multipoint for connecting two devices simultaneously, plus Fast Pair for Android and Swift Pair for Windows.
Fit and Special Features
Sony redesigned the ergonomics with better airflow management. The companion app includes a fitting test to help you find the right seal. You'll get four different earbud tip sizes in the box.
Spatial audio fans get 360 Reality Audio with head tracking support. The IPX4 splash resistance rating handles light rain and workouts.
