Tecno has officially unveiled the Camon 50 Ultra 5G, a mid-range smartphone that brings substantial upgrades over its sibling. The device packs a massive 6,500mAh battery and runs on MediaTek's Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset.
Display and Design
The Camon 50 Ultra features a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a crisp 1.5K resolution and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. The display supports HDR10 content and uses Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for protection. An under-display optical fingerprint scanner handles biometric security.
Camera Setup
The rear camera module shares design cues with the Tecno Camon 50 Pro but delivers enhanced hardware. The triple array includes a primary 50MP wide sensor, a dedicated 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS, plus an 8MP ultrawide shooter. Selfie duties fall to a capable 50MP front camera with autofocus.
Durability and Build Quality
Tecno has stepped up durability on this model. The glass sandwich construction uses Gorilla Glass 7i on the back panel with curved edges for better ergonomics. The device carries MIL-STD-810 certification for military-grade durability and achieves an IP69K rating for dust and water resistance.

Under the hood sits the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The Dimensity chip delivers solid mid-range performance while maintaining efficiency.
The standout feature remains the beefy 6,500mAh battery supporting 45W wired charging along with bypass charging technology. This combination should easily deliver multi-day usage for most users.
Software and Connectivity
The Camon 50 Ultra ships with Android 16-based HiOS 16 out of the box. Tecno promises up to three major OS upgrades for extended software support.
Connectivity options include full 5G support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, NFC, infrared port, dual speakers, and even FM Radio functionality.
Pricing and Availability
Tecno hasn't confirmed exact pricing yet but expects the Camon 50 Ultra to start around €400 in European markets. The phone comes in four color options: Orange, Green, Purple, and Black.
