The Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro arrived last September. This timing was consistent with the entire T series history. Every year, Xiaomi unveiled these devices during the same month like clockwork. The pattern stretched back several generations and became predictable for fans tracking the company's release cycle.
This consistency is reportedly ending. According to the rumor, Xiaomi wants to launch the 17T and 17T Pro around May 2026. That represents a four-month jump from the traditional September window. If accurate, this would be a significant reshuffle of Xiaomi's overall product roadmap.

The leak also reveals specific identifiers for both devices. The Xiaomi 17T allegedly carries model number 2602DPT53G and uses the codename "Chagall." The Pro variant has model number 2602EPTC0G with the codename "Warhol." These details align with Xiaomi's typical naming conventions for internal development.
Expected Specifications
The source claims both phones will receive processor upgrades and larger batteries. The standard 17T may use the Dimensity 8500 SoC, while the Pro version could get the more powerful Dimensity 9500. Both chips represent MediaTek's newer offerings for upper-midrange and flagship-tier devices.
Battery capacity is also getting a boost compared to the 15T series. However, camera improvements appear minimal according to the same leak. This suggests Xiaomi is focusing on performance and endurance rather than photography upgrades for this generation.
