Following the release of the 15T series last year, details regarding the upcoming Xiaomi 17T have surfaced online. Information reportedly extracted from HyperOS 3 code suggests that the manufacturer is preparing significant hardware upgrades for its next internal iteration.
The most notable change is found in the power department. The Xiaomi 17T is expected to feature a 6,500 mAh battery, marking a substantial increase of 1,000 mAh over the previous generation. Despite the larger capacity, reports indicate that 67W wired charging will remain the standard for this model.
Under the hood, the device will likely transition to the Dimensity 9400 chipset, providing a performance boost over the Dimensity 8400 used in the 15T. In terms of photography, the leak suggests the triple camera setup will remain consistent with its predecessor, featuring a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide sensor.
Industry expectations point toward a September launch window. While these early specifications offer a glimpse into the device's capabilities, more technical details are likely to emerge as the official announcement approaches.
