Xiaomi is preparing to bring its latest tablet lineup to global markets. The Xiaomi Pad 8 and Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, which debuted in China back in September, have now surfaced with EU Energy Labels. This certification strongly suggests an international launch is imminent.

Storage and Color Options

According to recent leaks, the standard Pad 8 will ship in three colors: blue, grey, and green. Buyers can choose between 8GB of RAM paired with either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. The Pro variant matches the color selection but elevates the memory configurations. It offers 8GB of RAM with 256GB storage and a high-end option with 12GB of RAM and 512GB storage.

Expected Launch Timeline

Industry sources indicate both tablets will launch alongside the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra when those smartphones go global. The timing points to a debut right before MWC 2026 kicks off in Barcelona on March 2. This coordinated launch strategy would give Xiaomi a strong presence at the annual mobile trade show.

Display and Performance Specs

Both tablets share an 11.2-inch IPS LCD panel with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate and 800-nit peak brightness. They also feature quad-speakers and a substantial 9,200 mAh battery with support for 22.5W reverse wired charging. The Pad 8 runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and features a 13MP main camera, 8MP front camera, and 45W wired charging. The Pro model upgrades to the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a 50MP rear camera, 32MP selfie camera, 67W charging, and adds a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
